New World Symphony Announces 2025–26 Arsht Center Concerts and CEO Retirement

New World Symphony has opened subscriptions for its upcoming concert series at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, while also confirming the retirement of its longtime President and Chief Executive Officer, Howard Herring.
The Arsht Center series will feature three programs: Mozart’s Requiem conducted by Stephanie Childress with the Master Chorale of South Florida on Saturday, November 14 at 8:00 p.m., Disney’s Fantasia in Concert led by Anthony Parnther on Saturday, January 9 at 8:00 p.m., and a February 13 program at 8:00 p.m. featuring Anna Clyne’s Masquerade, William Walton’s Cello Concerto with soloist Steven Isserlis, and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 conducted by Leonard Slatkin with NWS Conducting Fellow Ziwei Ma.
Exchanges are not permitted into the Arsht Center performances, and subscriptions are required to access preferred seating and pricing.
Howard Herring retired as New World Symphony’s President and Chief Executive Officer on June 30, 2026, concluding more than 25 years in the role since his appointment in 2001, a period that encompassed most of the organization’s 38-year history and was marked by institutional growth, community engagement and digital initiatives highlighted in recent external coverage.
