Kobe Beef Tasting
At Katsuya, indulge in an unforgettable culinary experience with our exclusive Kobe Beef Tasting Trio, prepared tableside by Katsuya's Executive Chef, Job Santana.
Dates: Thursday - Saturday
Price: starting at $195
This one-of-a-kind tasting features the finest cuts of Kobe beef, skillfully crafted and served in three distinctive preparations:
Seared Kobe: Experience the pure, unadulterated flavor of hot stone-seared Kobe beef, simply seasoned with Maldon Salt.
Kobe Crispy Rice: Delight in butter-seared crispy rice topped with Kobe beef tartare, black garlic ponzu, sesame chili oil, and ossetra caviar.
Kobe Taco: A unique twist on the taco: crispy nori, shiso leaf, and hot stone-seared Kobe beef, complemented by ume paste, yuzu kosho, fresh wasabi, green onion, cilantro, and tempura flakes.
A Tajima Bronze Statue placed at each table symbolizes Katsuya's status as an authorized Kobe Beef agent. Only 3,000 to 5,000 Tajima gyu cattle qualify as Kobe beef each year, meeting rigorous standards set by the Kobe Beef Marketing and Distribution Promotion Association. To be certified, the beef must come from the Tajima strain of Japanese Black cattle, raised and processed in Hyogo Prefecture, and achieve a Beef Marbling Score (BMS) of 6 or higher.
