The Nevis Tourism Authority brought the vibrant spirit and sweet flavors of the Caribbean’s "Mango Capital" to South Florida this month, using the high-energy platform of the fourth annual Food, Wine & Fete (FWF 2026) to spotlight the island's upcoming summer festivities.

Held at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, the all-inclusive beachside celebration attracted more than 1,500 food lovers, tastemakers, and travel enthusiasts. The strategic activation served to build widespread anticipation for the annual Nevis Mango Festival, returning this July 2–5, 2026.

A Taste of the Mango Capital in Miami

To bring the island's rich agricultural heritage to life, Nevis debuted a fully branded mango popsicle cart that quickly became one of the evening's most popular attractions. Long lines formed as attendees sampled refreshing frozen treats inspired by the island's legendary mango season.

Spanning just 36 square miles in the Leeward Islands, Nevis is home to more than 44 distinct varieties of mangoes. The upcoming July festival has evolved into a premier culinary destination, drawing international chefs and epicureans for a multi-day celebration of mango-infused gastronomy and authentic West Indian hospitality.

In addition to the culinary pop-up, festival-goers in Miami had the opportunity to enter an exclusive giveaway to win a luxurious summer getaway to the Four Seasons Resort Nevis.

Illuminating the Miami Skyline

The destination’s presence reached a spectacular peak during the event’s Grand Finale, taking over the night sky with a custom light spectacle produced by LunaLite Drone Technologies. Hundreds of synchronized drones illuminated the Miami skyline above Virginia Key, forming the Nevis Mango Festival logo and the Nevisian flag in a striking visual tribute.

Pheon Jones, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Nevis Tourism Authority, represented the island at the event, connecting with South Florida’s affluent Caribbean diaspora and travel-focused audiences.

"Miami continues to be an incredibly important market for Nevis, not only because of its direct connectivity to the destination, but also because it’s home to a vibrant and affluent Caribbean diaspora and a highly engaged community of culinary and culturally curious travelers," said Jones. "Food, Wine & Fete provided the perfect platform for us to introduce attendees to the spirit of Nevis while building excitement for the upcoming Nevis Mango Festival this July."
