Nevis is preparing for one of its most colorful summer traditions as the Nevis Mango Festival returns July 2 through July 5. The four-day celebration brings together food, music, beachside gatherings, cooking experiences, and the island’s famous mango culture in a setting that feels as much like a Caribbean escape as it does a culinary festival.
This year’s festival will be led by chef and television personality Eric Adjepong, who joins as Culinary Ambassador. A finalist on Top Chef and host of Food Network’s Wildcard Kitchen and Alex vs. America, Adjepong has become known for introducing West African cuisine to broader audiences. He is also behind Elmina, his Washington, D.C. restaurant that received a Michelin recommendation in 2025.

Hosted by the Nevis Tourism Authority, the festival centers on one of the island’s most recognizable treasures: mangoes. Nevis is home to 44 varieties, and during the festival they appear across tasting menus, cocktails, desserts, demonstrations, and island-wide food events.

Much of the appeal is hands-on. Guests can cook alongside chefs, watch live demonstrations, join tastings, and take part in casual competitions that turn the island’s mango season into a shared experience. The programming moves from polished dinners to relaxed community events, giving visitors several ways to experience Nevis through food.

Food and drink remain central throughout the weekend. Mango shows up in plated dishes, tropical cocktails, desserts, and tasting experiences that highlight both the island’s local ingredients and its growing culinary scene.
The festival also brings visitors into the island’s social rhythm, from food tours and beach bars to outdoor tastings and community events. The Passport Food Tour, Mango Mania, and Pinney’s Beach Bar Crawl give guests several ways to move through Nevis while sampling the festival along the way.
Beyond the food programming, the weekend is also a showcase of Nevis itself. Visitors can pair the festival with time on the island’s beaches, hiking trails, volcanic hot springs, and historic Charlestown while experiencing the hospitality that defines the destination.
The closing moments of the festival bring together music, tastings, family programming, and live entertainment during the signature “For the Love of Mangoes” celebration. It gives the weekend a festive, community-focused finish and captures the color and energy of the island.
