Nader Sculpture Park Set to Open in Miami, Featuring Over 50 Renowned Artists

The Nader Sculpture Park, a new addition to Miami's cultural landscape, is set to open in late 2024. This innovative project, founded by Gary Nader, aims to enhance Miami's reputation as an international art hub. The park will feature over 50 sculptures by renowned artists, including Fernando Botero, Richard Hudson, Frank Stella, Edgar Plans, Soraya Abu Nabaa, Rufino Tamayo, Agustin Cardenas, Edgar Negret, Alexander Calder, Rachel Valdes, Sophia Vari, Bernar Venet, Saint Clair Cemin, Robert Indiana, Olafur Eliasson, Carlos Cruz-Diez, and Jesus Soto.

A highlight of the park is the installation of Fernando Botero's monumental sculpture "Leda and the Swan" in the heart of the Miami Design District, which has been on display since September 5th. Valued at $5 million, this piece exemplifies Botero’s distinctive style of voluptuous figures and sensual themes.

The work is inspired by the Greek myth in which Zeus, disguised as a swan, seduces Leda—a theme historically interpreted by artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Peter Paul Rubens, François Boucher, and Cy Twombly.

The Nader Sculpture Park will not only provide a platform for international art but also serve as a space for cultural, recreational, and private events, becoming a significant landmark in the Miami Design District. This initiative reflects Gary Nader's ongoing efforts to promote art and position Miami as a global art destination.
