'Mostly Baroque' will launch a three-concert classical music festival from February 26 to March 1, 2026, at the Carnival Studio Theater inside the Adrienne Arsht Center. The South Florida ensemble specializes in historically informed performances of Baroque composers such as Bach, Handel, Telemann, and Vivaldi.

The group emphasizes the intimate scale and sound of a Baroque orchestra, using period instruments or precise reproductions. Baroque bows, gut strings, and historically aligned techniques aim to recreate the texture and clarity of 18th-century performance practice.

Music Director Dr. David O. Hartman notes that the series brings together opera, oratorio, orchestral works, choral music, and solo recitals within one cohesive program. Many of the ensemble’s musicians have performed together for more than two decades, shaping what Hartman describes as a unified and seasoned artistic voice.
