As South Florida’s art and design season unfolds with Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach drawing global attention, Michael Tronn continues to redefine immersive environments. The artist and creative director is behind TIMBR, a vineyard-inspired restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard that unites architecture, storytelling, and hospitality.

TIMBR is the debut concept from 3 Hospitality, the visionary team of Michael Tronn, Paul Brown, and Max Van Fleet, each bringing decades of expertise in design, operations, and brand-building to create a space where art, food, and human connection coalesce. It spans 8,500 square feet and functions as a living installation. TIMBR’s design integrates live-edge tables, indoor trees, denim-upholstered seating, and a brick façade that Tronn says is “meant to communicate warmth and familiarity while sparking imagination.” He collaborated with a brick mason to craft each individual brick, ensuring the materials felt authentic and lasting. “Everything needed to feel real and timeless — something that could weather and tell its own story,” Tronn says.
The restaurant is part of Tronn’s larger creative practice, which blends art, design, and human experience. Over three decades, he has launched more than 30 destination venues, produced thousands of events, and helped shape creative communities from New York and Los Angeles to Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, where he was one of the first artists to paint the neighborhood’s now-iconic exterior walls.
Tronn’s work—both in physical spaces and visual art—centers on themes of connection and universal origin. “My work reminds people that we all come from the same origin,” he says. “The universe manifests itself in infinite ways, including through every one of us.” His artwork is currently being shown at Plan B Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and his design ventures have welcomed more than one million guests.
At TIMBR, that philosophy takes tangible form. The space moves through distinct settings — from its ethereal Atrium to the Parc Dining Room lined with indoor trees — each designed to engage the senses. Vineyard-inspired cuisine and fire-driven dishes reflect the same care found in the restaurant’s construction. “Fort Lauderdale is becoming part of the creative conversation,” Tronn says. “It’s a natural extension of the artistic energy flowing through Miami.”
A new menu and cocktail program will be released in early 2026, expanding the restaurant’s focus on thoughtful hospitality and design. As Tronn’s creative projects continue to evolve, TIMBR stands as his clearest expression yet — a place where art, food, and storytelling meet in harmony.
