One of Miami’s very first and leading board certified facial plastic surgeons is celebrating 35 years of making Miami beautiful this month! In turn, Dr. Wolf AKA the “Nose Guy” of Miami, and his arsenal of talented facial, body, and skin experts are revealing the most in-demand cosmetic procedure trends of the last three decades as well as the top cosmetic procedures of 2023!
Dr. Wolf from Miami Plastic Surgery® and has performed nearly 100,000 cosmetic procedures over the last 35 years. Now with three MPS offices in Miami and a patient clientele spanning across the world, he is revealing the top procedures Miamians have requested over the years to help them look and feel their best.
#1. Botox and fillers: The results and cost for injectables make them the most approachable cosmetic procedures for a lot of people. You can achieve a lifted, refreshed look with very little downtime. The results last months for Botox to up to two years for fillers, so we are typically seeing patients recurrently.
#2. Rhinoplasty: Many of the rhinoplasty procedures at Miami Plastic Surgery occur for younger folks – teenagers and college students mostly, after the nose stops growing – and again in the 30s and 40s. The recovery time for rhinoplasties is usually about a week, but the final results won't be fully realized until about a year later.
#3. Blepharoplasty: Blepharoplasty is a type of surgery that removes excess skin from around the eyelids. This procedure is most popular for people in the 50s+ age category and can really help achieve a less tired look around the eye region.
#4. Neck liposuction: Neck contouring with tools like liposuction can tighten
the tissues around the neck and face to help define the chin. As we age, our skin heads south, and surgical procedures can help reverse the effects. As a non-surgical option, Morpheus8 is a fantastic alternative, helping tighten the skin and even help offset the need for surgical procedures.
#5. Facelifts: When Botox and fillers alone just aren't cutting it, or a more permanent solution is desired, surgery can step in. While there's a trend of face lifts starting sooner (even in a person's 40s!), we typically advise against it. Nonsurgical techniques, from lasers to skincare to Morpheus8 can tighten the skin in the meantime when the skin is starting to lose its elasticity. We treat the most patients in their 60s as long as they are in good health.
