Miami Open Partners Again with Fast-Dry Courts to Build Florida’s Largest Tennis Tournament
For the sixth year in a row, South Florida's premier tennis court contractor will construct the courts played on by the world’s biggest tennis stars.
Fast-Dry Courts, Inc., South Florida's premier tennis court builder, is pleased to announce it has been selected again as the exclusive contractor for the tennis courts at the 2024 Miami Open taking place March 17 through 31 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Fast-Dry Courts, an ASBA Certified Tennis Court Builder, has been working with a 15-person crew to resurface 17 practice courts, 7 tournament courts, 2 grandstand courts at the 978,000-square-foot tennis facility. The company is also reconstructing the stadium court which is built inside of the 13,800-seat Hard Rock Stadium, overtop the Miami Dolphin’s football field. All of the construction and resurfacing is completed in 45 days. Maintaining the tennis facility and its court fencing is a year-round project since Hard Rock Stadium is the home to many other events such as Formula 1, Miami Dolphin’s Football games and the Rolling Loud concert series.
Fast-Dry Courts has worked alongside Big D Paving and APT Laykold to complete the project. Project materials include more than 150 truckloads of rock, over 13,000 gallons of paint and many loads of asphalt. These materials play a big part in the construction of the custom built stadium court within Hard Rock Stadium. The stadium court is constructed of 10 separate layers with materials including limestone rock, asphalt, fiberglass membrane, vapor barriers, acrylic resurfacer and multiple coats of acrylic paint.

The renovated tennis venue offers 31,000 square feet of entertainment to the Hard Rock Stadium grounds including pop-up restaurants and nightlife, a 3,600-square-foot video display board (the largest video screen of any tennis event), and seats for spectators to watch the matches within beautifully landscaped courtyards, fountains and palm trees. This facility offers two full weeks of professional tennis with the iconic Miami vibe.
