Miami New Drama Extends Run of The Zionists Through May 10
Miami New Drama has extended the run of its world premiere production The Zionists at the Colony Theatre in Miami Beach through May 10, adding new performances following numerous sold-out shows.
The company reports its best remaining ticket availability for evening performances on Friday, April 24, and Friday, May 1 and 8. Tickets can be purchased through Miami New Drama’s official site.
The Zionists follows a prominent Jewish family, fractured by the politics and aftermath of October 7, as they reunite at a luxury Caribbean resort during an approaching hurricane. Written by playwright S. Asher Gelman, the play examines how identity, politics, and history strain family bonds in an increasingly divided world.
The production has received strong critical praise, with Artburst and the Miami Herald calling it “explosive,” “a stroke of genius,” and “thrillingly executed,” while Florida Theater On Stage has described it as “powerful,” a “pure triumph,” and praised the ensemble’s performances.
