Miami Music Project announced its participation in the 2025 Give Miami Day, one of the nation’s largest annual giving campaigns, with a fundraising goal of $100,000 to support and expand its free music education programs for underserved youth across Miami-Dade County.

We believe that the key to a better Miami is giving our children the tools they need to thrive and succeed in life,” said Anna Klimala, President and CEO of Miami Music Project. “Give Miami Day invites the entire community to do the same by investing in local nonprofits that open pathways to opportunities for children throughout Miami-Dade. Join us!”

The nonprofit, now in its 17th year, has impacted more than 33,000 students through high-quality music instruction, mentorship, and leadership development. Miami Music Project’s programs are offered at no cost, ensuring access to professional-level music education for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

Families like that of eight-year-old violin student Mitchlissa from the Little Haiti Chapter exemplify the program’s transformative power. Her parents, Mispatch and Patrick, shared how Miami Music Project has become a positive force in their family and community. “We would never have access to professionals such as these, and the program makes that possible for free,” said Patrick.

This year, Give Miami Day donations can be made from Saturday, November 15 through Thursday, November 20, 2025, via GiveMiamiDay.org/organization/MiamiMusicProject. Contributions start at $25, and the organization aims to reach at least 130 unique donors.

Spearheaded by The Miami Foundation, Give Miami Day supports hundreds of local nonprofits by providing visibility, unrestricted funding, and opportunities for community engagement. The event has become one of the most impactful online giving events in the southeastern United States.

Founded in 2008, Miami Music Project uses music as a tool for social change, collaborating with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, The Children’s Trust, Florida International University, and other partners to empower youth and build stronger communities through music.
