Miami Music Project Receives 2026 Sony Music Group Grant
The Miami Music Project received a 2026 Sony Music Group Global Social Justice Fund grant to advance youth development through music study and performance. The funding covers direct costs and expenses for the organization's programming and initiatives.

Anna Klimala, President and CEO of the Miami Music Project, stated that the organization uses music as a tool for social transformation. She noted the nonprofit has spent 18 years offering vulnerable youth in Miami the resources needed to succeed in life.
The Miami Music Project is a nonprofit organization that provides free after-school music education. The program operates in seven local schools, offering instruction three hours a day, five times a week. Since its launch, the initiative has reached over 33,000 children across Miami-Dade County.
Inspired by the El Sistema model for social change, the organization removes barriers to entry based on race or economic status. The program reports that all of its senior students go on to pursue higher education.
