Miami Music Project Launches Fundraiser for New Homestead Chapter During 2024 Give Miami Day
Miami Music Project has announced its involvement in the 2024 Give Miami Day, aiming to raise funds to support the launch of its new Homestead Chapter. With the backing of a dedicated donor, all new and increased donations made during the event will be matched, doubling the impact of each contribution.

“We’re very excited about participating in Give Miami Day this year,” said Anna Klimala, President and CEO of Miami Music Project. “This is the first year we’ve achieved regional social impact by opening our Homestead Chapter in the southernmost part of Miami-Dade. We hope this is the start of many personal and corporate alliances to open pathways to opportunities for children throughout Miami-Dade.”
For the past 16 years, Miami Music Project has been committed to transforming young lives by fostering musical talent and offering accessible education across Miami-Dade County. As part of Give Miami Day, the organization hopes to expand its reach, especially to children like 13-year-old Kasey from the Miami Gardens Chapter. His mother, Lakeria Clarke, reflected on the program's impact: “Kasey has transformed into a dedicated, self-motivated musician. Miami Music Project has boosted his confidence, morals, and values and enhanced his social skills. I’m blessed to have my child involved in a program that has positively impacted his life.”
This year’s Give Miami Day will officially take place on Thursday, November 21, from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EST. Donations can also be made during an Early Giving period from November 17 to November 20 via GiveMiamiDay.org. With a fundraising goal of $100,000, Miami Music Project invites donations starting at $25, with a goal to secure support from at least 130 unique donors.
Organized by The Miami Foundation, Give Miami Day is one of the largest online giving events in the Southeast, offering unrestricted funds to nonprofits and providing a platform for community support. The event includes financial incentives and prizes to maximize fundraising efforts, uniting nonprofits for capacity-building and increased visibility.
