Miami Emerging Arts Leaders Host Virtual AI Collaborative Case Study on April 28, 2026
Cultural professionals are increasingly expected to understand how artificial intelligence is changing the way art is created, shared, and experienced, as ethical and creative questions around new technologies continue to grow.
In response to these shifts, the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders program will convene a virtual panel discussion examining the impact of AI in creative fields, including case studies of current practice, academic integration, the advantages and limitations of agentic AI systems, and the evolving role of artists as curators, editors, and directors in AI collaborative environments.
The event, titled ARTificial Intelligence: A Collaborative Case Study, will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. as a free Zoom webinar with advance registration required. Interested participants can register online to secure access.
Moderator John A. Stuart, Associate Dean for Strategic Communication and Alliances at Florida International University’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts, will lead a discussion with panelists Ariel Baron-Robbins, Visiting Assistant Professor of Animation at FIU and founder of Loop Art Critique, Travis Cloyd, Director and Professor with FIU D.R.E.A.M.S., and Elizabeth Marsh, Associate Professor of Public Relations and Advertising and Assistant Director for AI Integration at FIU’s CARTA.
The program is hosted by Miami Emerging Arts Leaders, an initiative of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs that provides networking and professional development opportunities for current and aspiring arts administrators.
