Miami Emerging Arts Leaders Host AI Collaborative Case Study on April 28, 2026

Cultural leaders are increasingly expected to understand how artificial intelligence is shaping artistic creation, distribution, and audience experience, as rapid technological change raises new ethical and creative questions for the arts sector.

The Miami Emerging Arts Leaders will host a virtual panel discussion titled ARTificial Intelligence: A Collaborative Case Study on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 10 a.m., focusing on the impact of AI in creative fields and how it is being integrated into artistic and academic practice.
Panelists are expected to share case studies on AI use in their work, discuss the benefits and drawbacks of agentic artificial intelligence, and examine how artists function as curators, editors, and directors in AI collaborative environments. The session is free and will take place on Zoom, with advance registration required; interested participants can register online for access to the event.
The panel will be moderated by John A. Stuart, Associate Dean for Strategic Communication and Alliances at Florida International University’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts, and will feature Ariel Baron-Robbins, Visiting Assistant Professor of Animation at Florida International University and founder of Loop Art Critique, Travis Cloyd, Director and Professor at FIU D.R.E.A.M.S. (Digital Research Entertainment Arts Media Sciences), and Elizabeth Marsh, Associate Professor of Public Relations and Advertising and Assistant Director for AI Integration at FIU’s College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts.
