The grant program allocated a total of $475,000 in funding, with awards ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, to support creative initiatives in streets, parks, and gathering spaces across the Miami DDA’s three subdistricts. The funded projects encompass a diverse range of activations, including heritage celebrations, musical storytelling, large-scale festivals, and immersive theater.

This investment supports the Miami DDA’s broader mission to enhance quality of life by fostering a more vibrant, connected, and people-centered Downtown. The goal is to establish Downtown Miami as a place of belonging for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

The selected awardees represent a mix of neighborhood-level activations, mid-sized cultural experiences, and major citywide events. Notable recipients include Hued Songs (Common Ground: An AfroLatinx Musical Journey), Nu Deco Ensemble (Arsht Center Residency), Miami Dade College / MDC Live Arts (Freedom Tower Centennial Series: Flock by BANDALOOP), PAMM (Free Second Saturdays), Friends of The Underline (Community Connections Festival), City Theatre (How to Break in a Glove), FilmGate (Downtown Immersive Series), and Miami Center for Architecture & Design (Open House Miami).

The funded projects will be executed between October 2025 and September 2026, transforming Downtown Miami into a year-round venue for creativity and inclusivity. All resulting events are scheduled to be free and open to the public.
