The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs will hold a free virtual workshop on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 am to introduce local arts organizations, community nonprofits, individual artists, and artist collectives to the County’s cultural grants programs.

The Zoom-based session will provide an overview of the department’s arts funding portfolio, outlining which competitive grant opportunities may be appropriate for different types of cultural projects. An interactive question-and-answer segment will follow the presentation, with questions accepted in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Accessible accommodations are available in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Programs supported through Miami-Dade County’s cultural grants typically emphasize strong community involvement, outreach that promotes inclusion and equitable access to the arts, services for underserved populations and under-resourced neighborhoods, projects with tourism potential, preservation of heritage and traditions, and collaborative initiatives that use the arts in partnership with social service or community organizations.

Prospective applicants can register for the workshop and find additional information about the grants workshop series on the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs event page.
