The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is presenting an in-person cultural grants workshop for arts groups, artists, and nonprofit community organizations on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Pinecrest Gardens in Pinecrest, Florida.

The session will introduce the County’s arts grant portfolio to arts organizations, community nonprofits producing cultural arts projects, individual artists, and artist collectives. Participants will receive an overview of available funding programs to help identify which grant opportunities align with their cultural projects, followed by an interactive question-and-answer segment with staff.

Questions may be addressed in English, Spanish, or Haitian Creole, and accessible accommodations are available in keeping with the County’s Americans with Disabilities Act policy.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road, Pinecrest, FL 33156.

Cultural Affairs staff will outline competitive funding opportunities for nonprofit arts groups and artists and will share additional resources available to the local cultural community.

Art projects eligible for support through these programs typically:

  1. Demonstrate strong community involvement

  2. Include outreach components that promote inclusion and equitable access to the arts

  3. Focus on delivering cultural services to underserved populations or under-resourced neighborhoods

  4. Have the potential to generate tourism

  5. Encourage the preservation of heritage, traditions, and culture

  6. Involve collaborative projects rooted in the arts developed by social service organizations and cultural groups

Those interested in attending the District 7 workshop can register online to reserve a place at the in-person session.

An additional installment of the Arts Grants Workshop Series is scheduled for District 10 on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 pm at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center.
