Miami-Dade County Hosts Cultural Grants Workshop on May 26, 2026
Miami-Dade County will present an in-person cultural grants workshop to help arts groups, nonprofit organizations, and artists navigate available public funding for cultural projects.
The workshop, part of the Introduction to Miami-Dade County Arts Grants Workshop Series, is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Arcola Lakes Library Branch, 8240 NW 7 Avenue, Miami, FL 33150.
During the session, County cultural affairs staff will outline the arts grants portfolio and explain which programs may be appropriate for different types of cultural projects. The presentation will be followed by an interactive question and answer segment, with questions accepted in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. ADA accommodations are available for attendees who request them in advance.
Eligible projects typically emphasize community involvement, outreach that promotes inclusion and equitable access to the arts, services for underserved populations or under-resourced neighborhoods, tourism-generating activities, preservation of heritage and culture, and collaborative arts projects developed with social service organizations and cultural groups.
Arts groups, cultural organizations, community nonprofit organizations, individual artists, and artist collectives may attend the free workshop to learn how to apply for County arts funding and identify which grant programs best match their cultural work.
