Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs will present a free cultural grants workshop for arts groups, artists, and nonprofit community organizations on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Arcola Lakes Library Branch in Miami.

The session will introduce the County’s arts grants portfolio to arts organizations, community nonprofit organizations that produce cultural arts projects, individual artists, and artist collectives. Participants will receive an overview o funding programs to help them identify which grant opportunities best match their cultural arts projects, followed by an interactive question and answer segment.
Questions may be addressed in English, Spanish, or Haitian Creole, and ADA-accessible accommodations are available. The workshop will take place at Arcola Lakes Library Branch, 8240 NW 7 Avenue, Miami, FL 33150.
Grants discussed in the workshop support projects that demonstrate strong community involvement, include outreach components that promote inclusion and equitable access to the arts, focus on delivering cultural services to underserved populations and under-resourced neighborhoods, have potential to generate tourism, encourage preservation of heritage, traditions, and culture, and foster collaborative arts-based projects developed by social service organizations and cultural groups.
Arts groups, cultural organizations, community nonprofits, individual artists, and artist collectives are invited to attend to learn how to apply for arts funding and determine which programs fit their projects. Interested participants can register online for the in-person workshop.
