Miami-Dade Arts Agencies Open Multiple Grant, Job, and Education Opportunities for 2026–2027
Miami-Dade County cultural agencies and partner organizations have opened applications for several 2026–2027 funding programs, artist calls, job opportunities, and arts education initiatives across the region.
Quarterly Grants for Cultural Organizations
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is accepting applications for its FY 2026–2027 quarterly grants, including the Tourist Development Grants Program, which supports significant cultural and special events that promote the county as a tourist destination and generate media impact.
For the second quarter of the Tourist Development Grants Program, courtesy review materials are due October 5, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., and final applications are due October 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
The Community Grants Program continues to offer quarterly support to nonprofit organizations producing small to medium-scale community-based cultural projects such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals, conferences, and publications.
For the third quarter cycle, an online workshop is scheduled for November 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., courtesy review materials are due November 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., and applications are due December 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Grants and Calls for Individual Artists
Applications are open for the FY 2026–2027 Artist Access Grants Program, which provides Miami-Dade County professional artists with up to $2,000 for career-advancing workshops, residencies, master classes, conferences, and other non-credit skill-building opportunities offered in person or online.
The maximum request is $2,000, applications are due Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., and funded activities must take place between October 1, 2026 and January 30, 2027.

The South Florida Cultural Consortium is also accepting applications for its Visual and Media Artists Grant Program, which awards grants of $7,500 and $15,000 to eligible artists residing in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties.
Applications are due Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., and artists must apply through the Department of Cultural Affairs’ online grants portal.

Separately, the Art in Public Places Program and Miami-Dade Aviation Department are seeking qualifications from professional visual artists for commissions at Miami International Airport as part of its Capital Improvement Program.
The call envisions a pool of 30 to 40 shortlisted artists who will develop site-specific proposals and receive stipends, with multiple commissions anticipated in the $100,000 to $500,000 range or higher. Request for qualifications materials are due Monday, September 21, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Workshops, Jobs, and Arts Education
Funding Arts Network will host its 2027–2028 Annual Grant Workshop virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., providing an overview of its grant process and Community Impact Awards for visual and performing arts organizations in Miami-Dade County.
Advance registration is required, and the Step 1 application deadline is Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Additional eligibility and application details are posted on the organization’s grants webpage.
The Department of Cultural Affairs has posted job openings for a Cultural Affairs Instructor in cinematic or visual arts and for an Accountant 2 position at the Marshall L. Davis, Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, both part-time roles in Northwest Miami-Dade with September 2026 application deadlines.
In addition, Vocal Youth Miami is recruiting a full-time Development and Marketing Manager based in Palmetto Bay, with a mid-September 2026 closing date.

Registration is open for the All Kids Included Animation Arts fall session for young adults ages 22 to 30 with autism spectrum disorder and related intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering instruction in storyboarding, computer animation, and sound design using Toon Boom software.
The program runs from September 19 through November 21, 2026 on Saturdays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mary Collins Community Center in Miami Lakes, with a culminating film festival-style event on December 5, 2026 and a program fee of $40 for Miami-Dade County residents.

The Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center will present Classic Albums Live performing the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. in Cutler Bay, continuing a series of tribute concerts supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
