Miami-Dade Announces New Cultural Grants and Artist Opportunities for 2026

Miami-Dade County and regional partners have opened a series of cultural funding and management opportunities for the 2025–2027 cycle, targeting nonprofit organizations, individual artists, and venue operators across South Florida.
Quarterly Grants for Cultural Organizations
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has announced its FY 2025–2026 Quarterly Grants Programs for nonprofit cultural organizations. The Community Grants Program supports small to medium-scale community-based projects such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals, conferences, and publications.
For the second quarter of the Community Grants Program, an application workshop is scheduled for August 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with an optional courtesy review deadline of August 27, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. and a final application deadline of September 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
The Tourist Development Grants Program provides quarterly support for significant cultural and special events, including sports activities and television or film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County as a tourist destination. Supported activities must demonstrate the ability to stimulate tourism and generate significant media impact for the County.
For the first quarter, the Tourist Development Grants Program lists a courtesy review deadline of July 6, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. and an application deadline of July 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. In the second quarter, an online workshop will be held on September 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a courtesy review deadline of October 5, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. and a final deadline of October 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Regional Grants and Residencies for Individual Artists
The South Florida Cultural Consortium is accepting applications for its Visual and Media Artists Grant Program, which offers awards of $15,000 and $7,500 to eligible artists residing in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties.
Prospective applicants can attend online workshops that outline the application process, review criteria, and strategies for strengthening submissions. Summer sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, August 22 at 12:00 p.m.
Applications for the South Florida Cultural Consortium grant are due Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Artists must submit through the Department’s online grants portal via this link.
Oolite Arts has opened applications for its 2027 artist opportunities, including The Ellies Awards, Studio Residency, Home + Away Residency, and Cinematic Residency. These programs are designed for South Florida artists and filmmakers and provide funding, studio space, mentorship, professional development, and residency experiences locally and abroad.
The deadline to apply for Oolite Arts’ 2027 programs is Friday, July 31, 2026. Details on eligibility, program descriptions, and upcoming information sessions are available on the organization’s website, which can be accessed here.
Bid Opportunity for Miami Gardens Performing Arts Center
The City of Miami Gardens has issued a bid opportunity for the programming, management, and operations of the Miami Gardens Performing Arts Center, a new facility being developed as a regional destination for arts, entertainment, education, culinary experiences, and community engagement.
The City is seeking qualified partners to activate the venue through diverse programming, cultural and educational initiatives, and operational strategies that support community and economic development.
