Miami City Ballet has entered studio rehearsals for its 2026/27 season, bringing together dancers and creative teams as preparations begin for a slate of new and returning works that will appear onstage starting October 16.

The company has welcomed 10 new dancers and three new apprentices for the season, which will include world premieres, company premieres, large-scale story ballets and repertory favorites. Rehearsals are underway at the company’s Miami Beach studios, where choreographers are developing and refining works that will be featured throughout the year.
Former company dancer Patricia Delgado has returned to Miami City Ballet as a choreographer to create a new world premiere, developed in the same studios where she began her artistic career. The work will be presented October 16–25 as part of the American Rhythms program.
Rehearsals have also begun for the Miami City Ballet premiere of Jerome Robbins’ 1958 work N.Y. Export: Opus Jazz, staged for the company by J.P. Frohlich, and for a separate world premiere by Tiler Peck that is scheduled to debut next spring in the Icons & Innovators program, running March 26–April 18.
