This November, the Miami Children’s Museum (MCM) invites families to experience a month full of creativity, compassion, and community through an exciting lineup of programs designed to inspire learning through play. From sensory-friendly mornings to winter celebrations, each event offers hands-on fun for children of all abilities.

The month kicks off with Sensory Friendly Saturday on November 8, from 9–11 a.m., where guests can enjoy a calm, engaging environment with reduced noise and dimmed lighting. Sponsored by The Ethel and Harry Reckson Foundation/Michael, this month’s session invites children and families to design, explore, and build through imaginative, open-ended activities.
Later that weekend, families can join the MichiMu Cooking Club: Cozy Comforts workshop on November 8 and 9, from 3–4 p.m. Little chefs will fill and bake their own mini apple pies, adding sweet touches that capture the warmth of fall.
On Thursday, November 13, the museum celebrates World Kindness Day, a full day dedicated to empathy and connection. Visitors can craft digital “Acts of Kindness” cards, participate in art projects and storytimes, and help fill the Starfall Acts of Kindness Counter with heartfelt messages of generosity and care.

Seasonal cheer arrives with the Winter Wonderland: Sock Skating Opening Weekend on Saturday, November 16, sponsored by Beacon Real Estate Group. The What’s New Gallery transforms into a winter paradise complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, snowy science experiments in Professor Flurry’s Lab, and the debut of The Lost Pirate Show.
From November 17 through 20, MCM hosts Week of Remembrance: Healing Through Play, a touching four-day program presented with the Association of Children’s Museums and Knology. Families can create colorful butterfly art as part of a collaborative memorial canvas and attend special Story Times for Healing, supported by the New York Life Foundation.
Creativity continues during Autumn Mess Fest on November 22 and 23, where guests can splash paint on the Gratitude Splatter Wall, decorate mini pumpkins, and explore the textures of the season at the Pumpkin Guts Station.

Then, from November 24 to 26, young campers can join Campsgiving, a three-day mini-camp celebrating gratitude and friendship through food-inspired art projects and team-building games.
To wrap up the month, Professor Flurry returns for the Winter Wonder Lab on November 29 and 30, offering “snow-tastic” experiments and frosty fun for all ages.
Throughout the month, families can also enjoy Weekly Wonders, MCM’s recurring programs that include Mini Mondays, Baby STEAM, storytime adventures, and Fit Fridays. Plus, every third Friday of the month offers free museum admission.

With a calendar packed with inclusive, educational, and joy-filled experiences, the Miami Children’s Museum continues to be a space where families can learn, laugh, and grow together—one playful moment at a time.
