Anniversary Glow Party 

Celebrate Miami Children’s Museum’s 42nd Anniversary with a three-day Glow Party full of bright, family fun! Dance the night away under blacklights at a lively DJ party, where glow sticks light up the dance floor and energy fills the room. Families can also enjoy neon face painting, interactive science experiments, and glowing activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. This vibrant celebration brings the community together for an unforgettable weekend of joy, imagination, and lasting memories. | WHEN: Monday, September 1

Grandparents Weekend

MiChiMu invites guests to celebrate the start of a new season this September with a day full of movement, creativity, and family fun. Families can capture special moments at a Polaroid photo booth, decorate custom frames as keepsakes, and enjoy activities designed for connection and play. Young ones can unwind on yoga chairs, join lively music circles in the gallery, and dive into an engaging story time. The celebration continues in the Peace Park with bubble play, collaborative painting on the walls and floors, and hands-on art activities. On Sunday, families of all ages are invited to a heartwarming Generational Breakfast featuring classic breakfast favorites, early access to Museum exhibits, and a live theatre performance to start the day off right. Mini We’re Back Mondays

Mini Mondays return this September at Miami Children’s Museum! It’s the perfect opportunity for young visitors to imagine, explore, and create while families enjoy a playful, hands-on experience together. Baby Steam Wednesday

This September, curiosity comes alive with Baby STEAM—a weekly hands-on program at Miami Children’s Museum designed for our youngest learners. Guided by a certified STEAM leader, babies and toddlers embark on a one-hour journey that begins with an interactive exploration of one of the Museum’s exhibits and continues with an art-based activity that brings science, technology, engineering, art, and math to life through play. Fit Friday

MichiMu Cooking Club: Cooking with Abuela (or Abuelito!)

Children can touch, smell, listen, and taste their way through beloved family recipes, enjoying delicious bites while discovering the rich flavors and rhythms of their heritage. Sensory Friendly Saturday

MiChiMu invites guests to experience free sensory-friendly events on the second Saturday of each month, featuring carefully designed activities, reduced noise, dimmed lighting, and limited attendance to create a comfortable and engaging environment for children with disabilities and their families. This Saturday will feature soothing water-themed activities with sensory play areas that work on motor skills and communication. Miami Children’s Museum is celebrating Worldwide Day of Play with The Ultimate Cardboard Playground! For one weekend only, the Museum will transform into a hands-on cardboard wonderland where kids can build box cities, design forts, and create rolling robots using real building tools. The celebration continues with a performance of Not a Box, a lively theater show that brings the magic of imagination to life.
