Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit

Miami Children’s Museum invites guests to experience the limited-time experience, Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit. Celebrating 75 years of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip, the exhibit is an engaging blend of nostalgia for parents and fun with meaningful education for kids. Visitors can dive into activities that teach mindfulness, empathy, and sustainable habits while connecting with their favorite characters.

Red, White & You! - 4th of July Celebration

Miami Children’s Museum is set to celebrate the 4th of July with its festive “Red, White and You!” celebration, a fun-filled day of creativity, history, and hands-on activities for the whole family. Families can step back in time with a lively signing performance of the Declaration of Independence, test their knowledge with an interactive Flag Matching Game, and design their very own flag to take home. Children can also craft sparkler wands and cool off with snow cones at the KABOOM! Peace Playground, making it a day of learning and celebration for all.

WHEN: Friday, July 4th

Author Spotlight: Shelly’s Adventures

Join the Miami Children’s Museum for an engaging and inclusive storytime with Kentrell Martin, author of Shelly Goes to the Zoo from the beloved Shelly’s Adventures series. This special reading blends expressive storytelling with American Sign Language (ASL), creating an interactive experience that promotes communication, inclusion, and imagination. Children will learn 10 new ASL signs as they follow along with the story– a meaningful way to introduce young minds to language and self-expression.

WHEN: Saturday, July 5th

National Ice Cream Weekend

Celebrate National Ice Cream Day at Miami Children’s Museum with a weekend of sweet, family-friendly fun! Little ones can dive into scoop-and-play sensory bins filled with colorful “ice cream” scoops, sprinkles, and playful toppings—perfect for imaginative exploration. In the Ice Cream Slime Lab, kids will create their own scented slime served in an ice cream bowl, complete with sprinkles and sweet aromas. Families can also enjoy complimentary ice cream provided by Florida Dairy Farmers, gather for an interactive ice cream-themed storytime, and cap off the celebration with whimsical, ice cream-inspired face painting by the talented artists of Dizzy Doodle.

WHEN: Saturday, July 19th & Sunday, July 20th

National Chicken Finger Day: Outdoor Festival

Join MiChiMu for a day of fun celebrating National Chicken Finger Day, featuring free chicken finger samples from Raising Cane’s from 11 AM to 4 PM! Cool off with snow cones, play in a flurry of bubbles at the outdoor foam zone, and enjoy a high-energy performance by the South Florida Gay Men’s Chorus. Kids can also take part in volleyball games and explore the Imagination Playground at the KABOOM! Peace Park—perfect for a day of play, music, and summer memories.
