Miami Children’s Museum Announces July 2026 Family Programs and Camp

Miami Children’s Museum in Miami has released its July 2026 schedule, highlighting themed family events, recurring accessibility programs, and the ongoing Explorers Summer Camp.
On Saturday, July 4, the museum will host “We The Kids: Celebrating 250 Years,” a full day of water play and holiday activities marking the country’s 250th birthday. Visitors are encouraged to bring bathing suits and towels for outdoor play, with additional offerings that include face painting, balloon twisting, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, professional reenactor performances, a monument building challenge, and complimentary snow cones.
National Ice Cream Weekend will be observed on July 18 and 19 with “Celebrating Fútbol,” featuring a free scoop of ice cream provided by Florida Dairy Farmers, photo opportunities with mascot Mary Moo, and ice cream puff paint activities. On Sunday, July 19, the museum will also host a FIFA World Cup watch party for visiting families.
“Christmas in July” will take place on July 25 and 26, offering a tropical take on the holiday. Guests can make summertime snow, take photos with Santa during his Miami vacation, create shell ornaments, and participate in a museum-wide Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt.
The museum will continue its monthly Sensory Friendly Saturday on July 11 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., providing a lower-sensory environment, and Second Sunday Member Mornings on July 12 during the same hours for members seeking early access.
The 2026 Explorers Summer Camp runs through July 31, giving campers opportunities to explore nature, culture, performing arts, and innovation through weekly themes such as “Backstage Pass: Broadway & Beats” and “Maker City: Build, Invent & Play.” Weekly field trips and lunch are included, camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and before and after care is available.
