Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit


Miami Children’s Museum invites guests to experience the newly opened experience, Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit. Celebrating 75 years of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip, the exhibit is an engaging blend of nostalgia for parents and fun with meaningful education for kids. Visitors can dive into activities that teach mindfulness, empathy, and sustainable habits while connecting with their favorite characters.


WHEN: Open during regular museum hours Monday to Sunday (10am-6pm)


Summer Splash


Enjoy a fun-filled day of water play, from running through sprinklers to exploring the outdoor playground. After drying off, head inside the Museum for hands-on exhibits and interactive activities the whole family will love. It’s a full day of laughter, learning, and creativity– perfect for kicking off the summer in the most exciting way!

Father’s Day


This Father’s Day, kids can celebrate with their father figures and can design their own superhero capes using soft felt, colorful fabrics, and plenty of imagination. After crafting their creations, families can snap a fun photo and turn it into a hand-drawn keepsake, creating a heartfelt memory to take home and treasure.

Juneteenth


Join Miami Children’s Museum in honoring Juneteenth with a day filled with cultural reflection, creativity and celebration. Families will explore themes of freedom, identity and community through hands-on, engaging activities. At 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., children can design their own Celebration Crowns, decorated with empowering words that highlight pride and strength. At 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., families are invited to take part in creating Freedom Quilt Squares, an African American quilting activity where guests use fabric, color, and personal expression to share stories of family and heritage. These meaningful experiences offer a chance to come together, reflect and celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth.

Performing Art Series: The Master Chorale of South Florida


Experience the magic of music with the Mast Choral of South Florida’s “Bach to the Future” performance at the Miami Children’s Museum! This interactive concert blends lively storytelling with choral music, creating an engaging and accessible experience perfect for young audiences. Children and families will discover how music can tell stories, spark emotions, and fuel creativity in a fun and inspiring way. It’s the perfect introduction to the joy and power of live music—made just for kids!

Graffiti Workshop: Chuave & Cata


Children can unleash their inner artist with a collaborative and inspiring art experience! Local artists Chuave and Cata will guide children through a live mural-making project where creativity takes center stage. Kids will design their own stencils, paint with vibrant colors, and contribute to a giant community canvas alongside professional artists. It’s a unique and meaningful opportunity for young creators to work as a team, express themselves, and discover the emotional power of art.

Sensory Friendly Saturday


MiChiMu invites guests to experience free sensory-friendly events on the second Saturday of each month, featuring carefully designed activities, reduced noise, dimmed lighting, and limited attendance to create a comfortable and engaging environment for children with disabilities and their families. Sponsored by The Ethel and Harry Reckson Foundation/Michael Spritzer & Marjorie Baron

MiChiMu Cooking Club


Join MiChiMu for a fun and healthy monthly cooking session just for kids, where little chefs get hands-on with nutritious recipes. In celebration of Caribbean Heritage Month, this session invites families to explore island culture by creating vibrant tropical fruit salads using Caribbean staples like mango, guava, papaya, and pineapple. As they mix their own fruit bowls, children will taste, learn, and discover the cultural significance of these fruits in traditional Caribbean cuisine. Through storytelling and culinary creativity, young participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the flavors and traditions of the islands. It’s a joyful celebration of heritage that brings people together through food, culture, and community!
