Miami Children’s Museum has released its February 2025 schedule, highlighting special events that celebrate love, friendship, Black history, and literacy, alongside weekly family programs and registration for a sports-themed spring camp at its Miami facility.

Winter Wonderland Exhibit

Families are invited to stay warm indoors and enjoy the Museum’s Winter Wonderland exhibit, featuring a sock skating rink that will remain open through the end of February. The Museum notes that this will be the last opportunity to experience the seasonal exhibit before it closes, with a new golf-themed installation scheduled to open in March.

February Special Events

The Museum’s February calendar includes a range of themed weekend and holiday programs designed for children and families. Key dates include Build Fest on February 1, Sensory Friendly Saturday on February 14, and Second Sunday Member Morning on February 15. The Museum will also mark President’s Day on February 16 and host The Lost Pirates: Closing Weekend on February 21 and 22.

Literacy and reading are highlighted with Dr. Seuss’s Birthday on February 27 and Read Across Miami on February 28 and March 1, 2026, sponsored by The Children’s Trust Book Club. During Read Across Miami, families can participate in storytime sessions featuring titles such as “The Lorax” and its Truffula Trees, enjoy a chance to read to a therapy dog, create keepsake photo frames, and attend theater shows, with a shared celebration of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday on February 27.

Additional February activities include All the Art that is Fit to Print on February 7 and 8, Mini Valentine Monday on February 9, and Valentine’s Weekend programs on February 14 and 15. Valentine’s Weekend offerings feature “Ways to Say I Love You,” hands-on air-dry clay gift making, a Valentine Messages of Encouragement Wall, and MiChiMu Cooking Club cookie decorating.

Fashion Show Finale

On Sunday, February 8, 2025, guests can “step into the spotlight” at For the Love of Fashion: Fashion Show, the finale of the Museum’s fashion series. Participants will walk the runway showcasing custom outfits created in collaboration with Gloria Couture.

Canvas of Culture Exhibition

The Museum will present Canvas of Culture, an immersive exhibition celebrating Black history through storytelling, film, and interactive experiences. A free evening reception is scheduled for February 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., featuring light bites and refreshments. The exhibition will be on display from February 2 to February 8, 2026.

Community members can reserve a spot for the reception via Eventbrite.

Sunday Floral Workshop

On Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., the Museum will host a hands-on floral workshop led by floral artist Jowana Knight. Participants will create intentional, expressive arrangements under Knight’s guidance. The workshop is sponsored by The Lynn & Louis Wolfson II Family Foundation, Sarah Arison, and the Knight Foundation.

Tickets for the floral program are available through the Museum’s events page.

Read Across Miami 2026

The Museum’s literacy initiatives continue with Read Across Miami, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, February 28 and March 1, 2026. Activities will include thematic storytimes, opportunities for children to read aloud to therapy dogs, crafting keepsake photo frames, and live theater performances, all tied to a broader celebration of reading and Dr. Seuss’s legacy. The program is sponsored by The Children’s Trust Book Club.

Those interested in any of these events, you can buy tickets through Miami Children’s Museum website.
