Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit

Miami Children’s Museum invites guests to experience their newly opened exhibit, Take Care with Peanuts. Celebrating 75 years of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip, the exhibit is an engaging blend of nostalgia for parents and fun with meaningful education for kids. Visitors can dive into activities that teach mindfulness, empathy, and sustainable habits while connecting with their favorite characters.

Open during regular museum hours Monday to Sunday (10am-6pm)


Miami Race Day

Start your engines and join Miami Children’s Museum for a weekend of high-speed fun in celebration of the Miami Grand Prix! Families can dive into race-themed activities that fuel creativity and imagination—design your own race car, craft a winner’s trophy, and test your speed on MCM’s mini track. The excitement builds toward a special live watch party of the big race, making it the ultimate weekend for little racers and Formula 1 fans to play, create, and celebrate the thrill of the track.

Breakfast Theater

Start the day with warmth and wonder at Miami Children’s Museum’s special morning event, May 4th from 9AM to 10:30AM! Enjoy early access to the museum, a delicious breakfast, and a heartwarming live performance of If I Gave the World My Blanket. Families can watch the story come to life on stage while they dine, then stick around for a delightful character meet-and-greet, complete with photo ops and post-show fun!

Mini Moms Monday

Miami Children’s Museum invites families to Mini Mom’s Monday, a special celebration honoring moms the day after Mother’s Day. Designed by the Mini Mondays team, this cozy morning features heartwarming activities that foster connection between mother and child. From creative play to bonding crafts, it’s a morning made just for moms and their little ones. Plus, enjoy a complimentary breakfast from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, sponsored by Florida Dairy Farmers!

Performing Art Series: Florida Grand Opera

Florida Grand Opera presents Bear Hug/Abrazo de Oso! by Anna Young, a delightful bilingual children’s opera perfect for exploring themes of friendship and kindness. This short yet captivating performance features charming Zarzuela melodies, making it an engaging experience for young audiences while introducing them to the beauty of opera. Join MiChiMu for a musical journey filled with heartwarming lessons and lively melodies!

The Artist’s Lens ft. Cici McMonigle

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month at Miami Children’s Museum with Miami-based artist Cici McMonigle! Known for her vibrant paintings of fantastical creatures inspired by Chinese and American storytelling, McMonigle brings her multicultural imagination to life through bold colors, mythical beasts, and playful nods to traditional Chinese folk toys. Families can meet the artist, explore a special pop-up display of her work, and take part in a hands-on creature-making activity inspired by her distinctive and whimsical style!

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration

Join the Miami Children’s Museum in celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with vibrant, hands-on experiences for the whole family! Dive into Samoan culture through textile-inspired art in MCM’s “Samoan Hues” project, design patterned wristbands inspired by traditional tatau, and try your hand at Jianzi, a fast-paced Southeast Asian game. Enjoy a special weekend featuring a dynamic Taiko drumming performance by Fushu Daiko, along with interactive cultural activities led by FIU’s Japan Club, Chinese Club, Korean Club, and Language Club. It’s a celebration of stories, traditions, and creativity that highlight the richness of AAPI cultures!

The Artist's Lens ft Fushu Daiko - Drum Circle

Experience the vibrant rhythms of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month during a special weekend at Miami Children’s Museum, featuring a powerful Taiko drumming performance by Fushu Daiko. This dynamic showcase highlights the energy and tradition of Japanese percussion while celebrating the stories, artistry, and cultural richness of AAPI communities.

MiChiMu invites guests to experience free sensory-friendly events on the second Saturday of each month, featuring carefully designed activities, reduced noise, dimmed lighting, and limited attendance to create a comfortable and engaging environment for children with disabilities and their families. Pura Vida Monthly Cooking Club

Join MiChiMu for a monthly healthy kid-cooking session, where little chefs explore fun and nutritious recipes. In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this session will spotlight the scallion—an ingredient widely used across China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Kids will roll up their sleeves to make delicious scallion pancakes.
