The 17th Annual Miami Takeover will take place next month in Miami Beach, celebrating 50 years of go-go music and Black creativity. The festival’s main event, The Art of Go-Go Culture Fest, is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, from 5 PM to 10 PM at the Miami Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Avenue). The concert features live performances by the legendary Junkyard Band, Black Passion Band, and Top5 Band.

Sponsored by PURE Performance Water, the festival combines go-go music, dance, and visual arts, showcasing interactive installations by Miami artists Marcus Blake, Rod Royal, and Demont Pinder. The event is part of a four-day festival with eight total events, including an HBCU-themed party, pool parties, a beach clean-up, comedy show, and a children’s charity event in partnership with Colgate and the Miami Beach Police Athletic League.

The Art of Go-Go Culture Fest will also feature an art exhibit curated by Bibi ART Media, Inc., with more than 35 pieces from local Black artists, including works recently displayed in Spain. Attendees can enjoy food, drinks, and cabana service during the event.

The Miami Takeover is a Washington D.C.-based company focused on delivering authentic Black cultural experiences. This year’s festival runs from July 24 to 28, 2025. Tickets and travel packages are available at themiamitakeover.com.
