This December, the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights makes its return to Ocean Drive, transforming The Betsy Hotel into a vibrant display of lights, music and festive spirit.
Spanning two weekends—December 13-15 and December 20-22—this festival welcomes guests of all ages to partake in a one-of-a-kind celebration that blends holiday joy with contemporary artistry.
The historic architecture of The Betsy will provide the backdrop for a stunning light display using projection-mapping technology. The visuals will be synchronized with live orchestral performances from the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF), offering a unique experience in the heart of Miami Beach. The 1400 block of Ocean Drive will showcase holiday-themed visuals, including intricate patterns and seasonal designs, along with classical and festive music.

The festival will have nightly performances at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. and feature holiday characters including Santa Claus, the Grinch and Elsa greeting visitors, adding to the fun. Children can explore a playful winter wonderland complete with artificial snow, bringing a touch of seasonal magic to the warm city of Miami Beach. On December 14, the festival will be followed by Miami Beach’s Annual Holiday Drone Show, where hundreds of drones will light up the night sky, creating a memorable aerial display.
The Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is free and open to the public, with VIP seating available for those looking for a closer view. Organized by MMF and The Betsy Hotel in collaboration with the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, this event is quickly becoming a favorite holiday tradition. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season with friends and family in one of South Florida’s most charming locations.
