South Beach is set to shine brighter than ever this season as the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights returns to Ocean Drive this December. Free and open to the public, this celebration will transform the city’s iconic Art Deco district into a stage of immersive music, cutting-edge visuals, and family-friendly fun. Presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF) and supported by the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, this year's event promises a one-of-a-kind beachfront spectacle.
The dazzling showcase unfolds over two festive weekends on December 13-14 and December 20-21, with evening performances that merge live orchestra music and state-of-the-art projection mapping. The façades of historic Ocean Drive landmarks, including The Betsy South Beach, will come alive as brilliant visuals dance across the buildings in perfect sync with the music.

Each evening offers multiple opportunities to experience the festival of lights, with showtimes at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on December 13, and 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. shows on December 14, 20 and 21. As the sun sets over South Beach, audiences can expect a fusion of artistry and innovation unlike anything else in Miami’s holiday calendar.
More than just a light show, the festival delivers a full-sensory celebration for the whole family with beloved characters such as Santa Claus, the Grinch and Elsa making special appearances.
With its fusion of music, light and coastal glamour, the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is poised to become a defining tradition of Miami’s festive season, proof that the holidays truly shine brightest by the sea.
