Thursday • March 9 • 10am–12pm

The Miami Beach Garden Club meets primarily at the Garden on the 2nd Thursday of every month from October through May. Please contact ldelatorregunn@gmail.com if you would like to attend a meeting.

The mission of the Miami Beach Garden Club is to promote the cultivation of plants and flowers in our community through projects that focus on: beautification of our city; mentoring and sponsoring student programs (locally and statewide); and support of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Some of their programs include working with school children on their gardens at multiple local schools. They offer assistance at our local community garden, floral design and horticulture classes, field trip outings and continue to expand their knowledge through monthly programs.

MIAMI BEACH CULTURE CRAWL

Impromptu: A Miami City Ballet Pop-Up Performance

Thursday • March 16 • 6:30pm-7:30pm

Please join us for this free performance during the March edition of the Miami Beach Culture Crawl.

Miami City Ballet brings professional dancers right into South Florida neighborhoods making the art accessible for all. The pop-up performances are choreographed and performed by MCB’s world-class dancers, offering audiences a fresh way to experience ballet in unique settings.

Initially entitled, To Miami, With Love, the series was born in response to the pandemic and the need for outdoor performance. The pop-ups were the company’s way of saying thank you to the communities that have supported MCB throughout the years by providing the healing power of the arts to elicit hope and resilience. This message continues today.

NEW MOON EVENT

Tuesday, March 21 • 6:30pm-8pm

Doors will open at 6:00pm so that you can experience the garden in the peacefully quiet after hours while witnessing the aromas of the flowers coming to life. Resident yoga teacher, Franci, will guide yogic breathwork that helps us remove stagnation and create deeper rhythmic balance with our nervous system, allowing for more fertile grounds for moments of clarity and inspiration.

Practice will take place inside the large Banyan ballroom and spill out into the outdoor space covered by the large sails. Class begins at 6:30pm. (Garden gates will close at 6:40) Yogic breathwork for 30 minutes followed by a 30 minute Sound Bath Journey Savasana Meditation, ending at 7:30pm. Bring a journal to write down any insights that came up during the practice, or use journal prompts provided at the event, while enjoying a complimentary cup of tea. There are a few mats available if needed. Please bring yoga blocks/cushions/blanket if you'd like a more restorative experience.
