Miami Art Week 2025: Exhibition Previews, Dialogues, and Museum Events

Miami Art Week 2025 will feature major museum previews, exhibition openings, and artist conversations across the city. Key institutions, including the ICA Miami, YoungArts, The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse, and Historic Hampton House, have scheduled significant programming from December 1 through December 6.

Museum and Exhibition Previews


The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) will inaugurate its new season with several landmark exhibitions. A VIP preview on Tuesday, December 2, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, will present the first posthumous surveys of sculptor Richard Hunt and painter Joyce Pensato. Also debuting are the first major U.S. institutional presentations for German painter Andreas Schulze and Japanese ceramicist Masaomi Yasunaga, alongside a monumental site-specific commission by South African artist Igshaan Adams. ICA Miami is located at 61 NE 42nd St. in the Miami Design District.


YoungArts will host an exclusive first look at Sam Moyer: Against Time on Tuesday, December 2, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the YoungArts Jewel Box. The solo exhibition will feature three new large-scale works exploring themes of growth, decay, and transformation. Concurrent with the exhibition, Moyer will serve as a mentor during the annual National YoungArts Week in January. YoungArts is located at 2100 Biscayne Blvd.

The Historic Hampton House, a landmark Green Book hotel, will present No Room. No Vacancy., a group exhibition co-curated by Madeleine Haddon, Serubiri Moses, and K. O. Nnamdie. The show, which explores themes of refusal, resistance, and obedience, features 16 contemporary artists and will be on view from December 1, 2025, through March 2, 2026. The museum will host a VIP dinner and a dance party to celebrate the opening on Monday, December 1, starting at 6:00 PM at 4240 NW 27th Ave.


The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse will offer expanded hours and daily coffee service from Monday, December 1, through Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. New exhibitions opening at 591 NW 27th Street include: Pop Art: Chamberlain, Johns, Lichtenstein, Segal, Warhol, Wesselmann, Records of the Past: Lewis Hine Child Labor Photographs, and Italian Art 1970 – 2024.

Artist and Curator Dialogues


ICA Miami will host a panel discussion on the legacy of renowned sculptor Richard Hunt on Monday, December 1, at 5:00 PM. Panelists include Dr. Louise Bernard (Director, Obama Presidential Center Museum), Gean Moreno (Director, Art + Research Center, ICA Miami), Jon Ott (Executive Director, Richard Hunt Foundation), and Eric Stephenson (Director and Head Welder of Richard Hunt Studio).

Artist Igshaan Adams and ICA Miami Art + Research Center Director Gean Moreno will participate in a breakfast conversation about Adams’ practice and his new multi-story commission at ICA Miami on Thursday, December 4, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Soho House, 4385 Collins Ave.


Behind-the-Scenes Access


YoungArts will offer a VIP breakfast and open studios with their current artists-in-residence—Andres Gimenez, Nadege Green, Qadir Parris, and Nadia Wolff—on Thursday, December 4, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the YoungArts Plaza and Gallery. The artists’ studios will also be open to visitors daily from December 1-7, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM.
