1 Hotel South Beach Presents Artist BREAKFAST
Website: 1 Hotel South Beach
Dates: December 2nd - January 5th (Lobby Installations) & December 2nd - 8th (Front Entrance & Tala Beach Installations)
Address: 2341 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Format: Open to the public
Details: This Miami Art Week, 1 Hotel South Beach and Tala Beach present a site-responsive installation by BREAKFAST, the Brooklyn-based kinetic and data artist whose work transforms live environmental data into evolving sculptural forms. Curated by NicoleMarie Advisory, the presentation brings together five major pieces exploring how technology and data can deepen our understanding of climate change and its impact on the planet’s fragile ecosystems. From December 2–8, Carbon Wake and Consumption will activate the hotel’s façade and beachside at Tala Beach, while Arctic Ice, Water 80, and a new, climate-focused series debuting for Miami Art Week will remain on view in the hotel’s lobby through January 5, 2026. Drawing on real-time information – from global temperature shifts to oceanic patterns, BREAKFAST’s works use motion, light, and sound to convert abstract climate data into tangible, experiential encounters. The result is a living ecosystem of motion and light that blurs the boundaries between art, science and information– echoing 1 Hotel’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness. Presented during Miami Art Week, this new body of work invites reflection on how digital systems can help us see–and feel–the changing rhythms of our planet.

Additionally, in the spirit of Art Week, Amelia Schofield will be on site, showing off her live paintings. Amelia has a passion for interior design, which has allowed her to translate her skills into art. Her design philosophy revolves around the belief that the spaces we inhabit profoundly impact our well-being and daily experiences. She uses creativity and functionality in order to create something that reflects her clients’ unique personalities. Guests are also invited to linger a little longer and enjoy 10% off their dining experience.
