Miami Art Week 2022 Event Highlights

A summary of various Miami Art Week events worth revisiting.

The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach’s Art For Good “Concert of the Seven Decades”

WHAT: On Tuesday, November 29th, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach hosted ‘A Concert of the Seven Decades & Beyond’ to celebrate Miami Art Week. As a continuation of the hotel’s Art For Good program, the iconic resort partnered with Miami Symphony Orchestra, Miami City Ballet, MONAD Studio, and FL Fuoriserie to celebrate the 70 years since the Morris Lapidus landmark was erected on South Beach and all the history, art, and culture that flourished in those seven decades.



Sarabande Foundation x The Standard Spa, Miami Beach


Sarabande Foundation, established by Lee Alexander McQueen in 2010, welcomed guests to the gardens at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach on Monday, November 28th for a private cocktail hour and immersive dinner experience, with a breakdancing performance by Sarabande artist and sculptor Izaak Brandt. Francesca Amfitheatrof, Artistic Director of Watches and Jewellery Louis Vuitton and President of American Friends of Sarabande; and Trino Verkade, founding trustee of Sarabande Foundation co-hosted the event in Miami to encourage those already established in the art world to actively engage with new, visionary talent. Guests including Humberto Campana, Kate Bryan, Marianne Boesky, Polina Zackh, Misha Nonoo, Serena Rees, Sadie Coles, Shane Akeroyd, Damian Bradfield and Daniel Levy met some of those artists and designers whose careers the foundation supports.



Creative Minds Talks at Mondrian South Beach


WHO: Derek Blasberg, journalist, socialite, author, and television personality; Daniel Arsham, artist; Stefano Martinetto, chief executive and co-founder of Tomorrow London Ltd; Karl Cyprien, Daniel Arsham Studio; Jae Joseph, co-founder of The Black Apothecary Office; Riaz Tyab, film producer; Dominique Side, artist; Michael Tamzil, entrepreneur; and Ewa Poilleux, founder and ceo of Creative Minds Talks.

WHAT: Creative Minds Talks hosted In Conversation: Derek Blasberg and Daniel Arsham at Mondrian South Beach. During this private and intimate fundraiser, the two gentlemen had an in-depth discussion on their career paths in the creative world and the incredible collaborations that have defined their work, including Arsham’s upcoming collaboration with the world-renowned Tiffany’s. They offered invaluable insight, stressing the importance of persistence and the value of building a strong network of fellow creatives.



NYLON House


WHAT: NYLON House celebrated Art Week with an evening dedicated to music, art, culture, and beauty for the second consecutive year. Hosted in partnership with globally renowned innovator, David Grutman of Groot Hospitality, and BMW, the event was held at Strawberry Moon at the goodtime hotel. Featuring DJ sets by The Martinez Brothers with special guests Layla Benitez, Night Tales, and Luciano Scalioni, and mind-blowing activations from BMW, Samsung, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Soulboost, Calzedonia, and Keys Soulcare, NYLON House, was an immersive night dedicated to light and sound.

La Prairie Cobalt Club, Poolside, at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach


La Prairie Switzerland Cobalt Club celebrated 40 years of the brand’s bond with the late artist Niki de Saint Phalle and her favorite color Cobalt Blue, “the color of joy and luck.” Guests enjoyed champagne, caviar, and the art of perfection skin treatments, poolside at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach.



EACHxOTHER x Clarins at GITANO Miami

Paris based clothing brand and publishing house EACHxOTHER hosted an intimate dinner party at GITANO Miami, Celebrating the new Spring/Summer 2023 collection, hosted in partnership with Clarins.


Guests included Elizabeth Sulcer, Bella Thorne, Brooks Nader, Mariama Diallo, Shannon De Lima, Nastya Swan and more.



Live Painting at GITANO Miami


Gitano Miami hosted an intimate evening of live painting with Brazilian based artist and muralist Joao Incerti. Throughout the evening, guests experienced in real time Incerti creating a beautiful painting from a blank canvas to a finished piece, that represented his interpretation of GITANO Miami, highlighting the beloved jungle disco glam theme.



Éliou pop-up at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach


Éliou, the handcrafted contemporary jewelry line, lives in Miami year-round but the local brand has moved into The Standard Spa, Miami Beach for an exclusive pop-up throughout the week of Miami Art Week. The gender inclusive brand features handcrafted classics as well as exclusive capsule pieces to commemorate the partnership with The Standard Spa, Miami Beach.
