The annual bowl-a-thon is a fundraiser for the Memorial Rehab Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program, with the goal to provide incredible athletic experiences for people with physical disabilities in activities such as water aerobics, chair yoga, scuba, wheelchair basketball, and tennis. The proceeds from the bowl-a-thon will provide funding for access, transportation, entry fees, and scholarships for those with physical disabilities, allowing many adaptive athletes to participate in these sports who would otherwise be unable to. In the adaptive sports and recreation program, adaptive athletes display hard work and determination, participating in physical activities, exceeding expectations, and achieving dreams.

Last year, the bowl-a-thon was extremely successful, bringing together over 300 members of the community to raise more than $37,000 to support the adaptive athletes at the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute. This year, the institute hopes to continue to raise funds to add more opportunities for athletes at the Memorial Rehab Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program.
