'Me & My Miami: The Musical' Premieres Oct. 2–12 at Westchester Cultural Arts Center

Brévo Theatre, in collaboration with The Roxy Theatre Group and The Warten Foundation, proudly announces the world premiere of Me & My Miami: The Musical. Part of Brévo’s acclaimed Freshly Rooted series, the production runs October 2–12, 2025, at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center in Miami, with evening shows at 7:30 p.m. and weekend matinees at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $45.

Written and directed by renowned theater artist Patdro Harris, Me & My Miami brings to life the stories of three Miami teens—Rosa, Fuquan, and Joseph—selected to perform at the Miami-Dade County Farmers Market Arts Festival. As their talents shine, personal truths and family histories surface, weaving a powerful story of identity, culture, and resilience through music, dance, and spoken word.

The musical originated as a community workshop in May 2024 at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, where audience feedback directly shaped its development. This inclusive process continues to define Brévo Theatre’s mission of spotlighting authentic, diverse voices.

“This is a story about what makes Miami feel like home,” says T.M. Pride, Brévo Theatre’s co-founder and Producing Artistic Director. “It’s the evolution of a community’s voice, brought to life with bold performances and meaningful storytelling.”

With vibrant choreography, interactive moments, and a rich celebration of Miami’s multicultural identity, the show promises to resonate with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Me & My Miami is made possible with support from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and The Warten Foundation.
