Mary Sherris - Sherris Legal P.A.



Mary Sherris was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Florida. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron, where she was published in the Akron Law Review. She also completed advanced trial advocacy programs at the National District Attorneys Association and Harvard Law School.


Since 1997, Ms. Sherris has lived in Orlando, where she began her law career as an Assistant State Attorney in Seminole County, Florida. She prosecuted criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies and received the Attorney of the Year – Pride in Excellence Award in 2000. Over the years, she has handled numerous cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and more. For the last decade, she has worked in private practice, focusing on advocating for the injured.


Ms. Sherris is a licensed attorney in Florida and admitted to practice in Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, and others.
