Imaginarium: The Fantastical World of Compass Box and Stranger & Stranger Now Open at the Wolfsonian on Miami Beach

Cult-favorite and globally acclaimed blended Scotch whisky producer, Compass Box, has officially unveiled its first-ever art exhibit – Imaginarium: The Fantastical World of Compass Box and Stranger & Stranger. The exhibit, now open at The Wolfsonian-FIU on Miami Beach, is a month-long exhibition that celebrates the brand’s 25th anniversary through visual exploration of imagination, design and storytelling.
Imaginarium: The Fantastical World of Compass Box and Stranger & Stranger opened on Wednesday, December 3 during a private preview event attended by more than 200 art and whisky lovers. The interactive exhibition invites guests into a fantastical world to explore the senses and discover a world of creation, artistic expression and thought-provoking elements to foster conversation and reflection.
The Imaginarium exhibition brings together rare labels, unseen sketches, original pieces of artwork and intimate notes—fragments of artistry that trace Compass Box’s journey from vision to icon. The immersive showcase reveals the stories behind Compass Box’s most iconic creations — from The Entertainer and Brûlée Royale to Stranger & Stranger, Canvas, Rogue’s Banquet, Phenomenology, and the Hedonism series — each a testament to the marriage of craft and creativity. Like exploring a cabinet of curiosities, the exhibit will be lush, intricate and enigmatic, providing visitors interactive opportunities that will surprise the senses and inspire the imagination.

In addition to the exhibition, Compass Box has partnered with acclaimed auction house Bonhams to offer eight distinct auction lots from which all proceeds will benefit the Wolfsonian-FIU. The auction, which will be accessible online, will begin November 25 and end December 10, and will feature rare, archived whisky editions, including Confluence, a singularly collectable one-of-one blend created by Compass Box’s new Creative Director of Whiskymaking, Angela D’Orazio, that combines Scotch and Swedish whiskies – a reference to D’Orazio’s heritage – in a hand-painted bottle.
