Maggie Rose and Ruston Kelly have released “Peace,” a collaborative single that explores finding calm amid everyday pressures. Out October 9 through One Riot Records, the song follows Rose’s album Half Moon and arrives ahead of her November appearance on a music cruise departing from Miami.

According to the release announcement, Rose and Kelly wrote the song with Lawrence Rothman. Its focus is personal: accepting what cannot be changed and loosening the sense of urgency that can govern daily life.

“I am at my most peaceful when I embrace acceptance of what I can’t change and accountability for my own happiness,” Rose said in the announcement. “I sometimes forget that I can set my own pace and not worry about the hurriedness of the world around me. This song should be a reminder that we all have the power to do that.”

Rose also described the writing session as an opportunity for the collaborators to acknowledge their shared experiences with anxiety. Kelly, in his accompanying statement, emphasized the freedom of putting daily pressures into perspective.

Following Half Moon

Released August 14, Half Moon features 10 songs and was co-produced by Rothman and Daniel Tashian. Its track list includes “Used To It,” “Red Shoes,” “Weekend Lover” and “Gentle Man.”

The album developed during Rose’s transition into motherhood. According to her official biography, writing began while she was pregnant, with recording at Nashville’s RCA Studio A following the birth of her son. That experience informed songs about identity, relationships and change.

A November Sailing From Miami

Rose is scheduled to perform on The Revivalists’ Otherside of Paradise at Sea, running November 3–7 aboard Norwegian Jewel, with a sailing from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas.

The lineup also includes Saint Motel, Dawes, Neal Francis and Andy Frasco & The U.N. Organizers list “Maggie Rose + Friends” among the cruise’s Songwriters In-The-Round sessions, which combine acoustic performances and conversations. Booking information and the performance schedule are available through the event’s official website.
