Following a $100 million transformation of The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, the resort has unveiled Luma, a premier modern Italian restaurant overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Named after the Italian word for “light,” the 310-seat venue features sun-drenched interiors and a menu inspired by Italy’s diverse coastal regions. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Patrizio La Gioia—whose background includes training at Michelin-starred establishments like Per Se—the restaurant focuses on a refined style rooted in seasonality, French precision, and deep respect for premium ingredients.

The culinary program centers on handmade pastas and a signature Josper oven program, where seafood and prime meats like the 40-ounce Bistecca Fiorentina are finished over natural binchotan and oak coals. Signature dishes include Tuna Crudo Pizza with black truffle crema, Corn Agnolotti with cultured butter, and Sea Bass Puttanesca. The experience is further elevated by an ocean-view bar serving a curated selection of spritzes and negronis, alongside tableside finishes such as a Dolce Vita gelato and granita cart reminiscent of seaside Italian towns.

Beyond dinner, Luma introduces the "La Dolce Vita" Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring a vibrant à la carte menu of Lemon-Ricotta Pancakes, Burrata Caprese, and shareable family-style plates. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily, offering a sophisticated yet convivial atmosphere complemented by live music on select evenings. For those seeking intimacy, Luma also provides two private dining rooms for groups of up to 12.
