Louis Vuitton has expanded its Escales Autour du Monde collection with the Escale en Alaska pocket watch, a one-of-a-kind piece that showcases the brand’s most sophisticated watchmaking to date.

Developed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva, the Escale en Alaska is equipped with a Jacquemart mechanism and a tourbillon, and incorporates nine animations with 17 moving parts. The 50mm pocket watch is produced by the brand’s in-house ateliers for case making, movement components and dial craftsmanship.

The dial presents a nocturnal Alaskan landscape, where the Margerie Glacier is set beneath swirling Northern Lights and animated representations of local wildlife including a whale, an orca and penguin families. The collection also introduces, for the first time, an LV Monogram Star cut diamond on the dial, described as the smallest ever created in this shape at 0.05 carat.

Additional details and imagery of the Escale en Alaska pocket watch are available online from Louis Vuitton.
