Louis Vuitton has been named an Official Supplier and Branded Licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026, introducing the official Trophy Trunk that will transport, protect and display football's most prestigious trophy throughout the tournament.
The Trophy Trunk will make its first on-field appearance during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, when it will be carried onto the pitch by Louis Vuitton ambassadors alongside a FIFA legend. The ceremony continues a tradition that has been part of the tournament since 2010.
The trunk was handcrafted by Louis Vuitton artisans at the brand's historic workshops in Asnières-sur-Seine, near Paris. It features the House's signature Monogram canvas with two hand-painted gold "V" motifs representing both "Victory" and "Vuitton." The exterior is finished with leather trim, gold-plated brass corner protectors, a lock and clasps inspired by Louis Vuitton trunks dating back to the 1860s.
Inside, the Trophy Trunk is lined with light beige leather and includes a patch featuring the partnership logo between Louis Vuitton and FIFA.
The announcement extends Louis Vuitton's longstanding relationship with FIFA. The luxury brand has designed Trophy Trunks for every FIFA World Cup since South Africa 2010, including tournaments in Brazil (2014), Russia (2018) and Qatar (2022).
In addition to the official Trophy Trunk, Louis Vuitton has introduced a limited-edition collection as part of its role as an Official Branded Licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The collection includes three signature trunks inspired by the design of the official Trophy Trunk: the Coffret 8 Montres for storing up to eight watches, the Cotteville 16 Montres watch trunk, and the Malle Courrier Lozine 110 travel trunk. Each piece features the Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas, a hand-painted FIFA World Cup Trophy motif and the signature gold "V." Customers can also personalize the trunks with their initials.
Louis Vuitton said the collection reflects the House's craftsmanship and heritage while extending its "Art of Travel" concept through the world of football.
The partnership is part of Louis Vuitton's broader involvement in international sports. Since creating its first sporting trophy trunk for the America's Cup in 1983, the brand has collaborated with major global events including Formula 1, the NBA, Roland-Garros, the Rugby World Cup, the Ballon d'Or, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Australian Open, the Davis Cup and the League of Legends World Championship.
