Louis Vuitton will introduce its new Silk Tech material at select stores worldwide starting July 9, 2026, applying the innovation across ready-to-wear pieces, bags and luggage, travel essentials, footwear, and accessories.

Silk Tech is a twill-woven hybrid of silk and reclaimed nylon that combines technical performance with a smooth, sensorial finish. The material offers water-repellent, anti-fraying, crease-resistant, and lightweight properties, and is designed to maintain a distinctive sheen and silk-like feel.

Debuting in the classic brown and gold Louis Vuitton Monogram pattern, Silk Tech recalls the brand’s coated canvas, paired with vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. The material appears in a growing range of menswear items, including the Christopher East-West and Christopher Nano bags, the Track Backpack, the Jetlag and Hanging Toiletry Bag, the Nil XL and Nil 45, the Alma Shoulder, the Speedy 30 and Speedy 40, the Jet Lag, the Rush Bumbag, the Dustbag Tote, the Sirius Reversible, the Keepall 50, brimmed caps, and the LV Drop 300, LV Trainer, and LV Tilted sneakers.
