Lotus House Gala Raises $1 Million and Honors Gisele Bündchen and Karlie Kloss
Lotus House, the nation's largest homeless shelter for women, raised $1 million at its 16th annual "Sparkles and Costumes" gala on Oct. 29. Held at The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse in Wynwood, the event gathered Miami community leaders to support the organization's mission to end and prevent homelessness.

The gala honored supermodels and philanthropists Gisele Bündchen and Karlie Kloss, both members of the Lotus Endowment Board, with the It Takes a Village Award for their hands-on support.
"I’m so grateful to be part of the Lotus House family, where an incredible team and volunteers work with so much love to give women and children hope for a brighter future," Bündchen said during the event.
Kloss added, "That's what makes Lotus House so special. It's a reminder that we all have something to give, whether it's our time, our resources, or simply showing up for one another."
Impact and Continued Mission
Proceeds from the gala will advance efforts through Lotus House, the newly opened Children’s Village, and the National Women’s Shelter Network. Since its founding in 2006, the organization has reached significant milestones:
Provided shelter and support to over 13,500 women, youth, and children
Served over 3 million meals and provided homes for more than 400 newborns
Shelters more than 520 women, youth, and children nightly
Achieved an 86% successful exit rate from the shelter system
In 2025, Lotus House expanded its Overtown campus with the 71,000-square-foot Children's Village, uniting nonprofit partners to offer education, therapy, healthcare, and social support.
“From our earliest days, our vision has been to give women and children the safety, care and opportunities they need to build a brighter future,” said Constance Collins, Founder of Lotus House. “When we help a mother regain her independence or a child heal and thrive, the impact extends across generations."
The event also recognized other key contributors. The Community Impact Award was presented to Miami Innovators Who Care, spearheaded by board members Seth Cassel and Rachna Bhasin. The Legacy of Love Award honored the late Libby Klein, and the Youth Volunteer Award went to Lotus House alum Za'Niyah Huffman.
