If you’re looking for the pinnacle of fine dining in Berlin, Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer delivers an exceptional culinary experience. Located inside the historic Hotel Adlon Kempinski, this intimate, Michelin-starred restaurant offers just 32 seats in the main dining room and 24 in the adjacent library, creating an exclusive and elegant setting. The space features an open fireplace with a bust of Emperor Wilhelm II and offers a direct view of the Brandenburg Gate—an iconic backdrop that elevates the entire experience. If possible, reserve one of the window tables, but plan ahead: bookings often require four or more weeks in advance.

Head chef Jonas Zörner, along with restaurant manager Oliver Kraft and sommelier Hans-Martin Konrad, leads a passionate team dedicated to French-inspired cuisine with modern flair. The multi-course tasting menu is precise, aromatic, and layered with balanced flavors—salt, acidity, and umami working in harmony.
Choose from a 5- or 6-course menu, with or without wine pairing from an impressive 1,300-label selection. Highlights from my tasting menu included hand-dived scallops with salted lemon and Guanciale, goose liver ravioli with black truffle, and A5+ Wagyu beef as the main course. À la carte standouts feature Kagoshima Wagyu served in two courses, wild Brittany sole with Imperial Caviar, and a luxurious caviar selection accompanied by blinis, crème fraîche, and miso vanilla ice cream.
Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer is open Wednesday to Saturday, from 7 PM to 11 PM. Please note the restaurant is closed for a summer break from the end of July until the beginning of September.
