Looking Back at Patek Philippe’s 2025 Rare Handcrafts Collection

Patek Philippe showcased its Rare Handcrafts 2025 collection at the Salons in Geneva earlier this year —a collection that Miami Living named one of the year’s favorites.

Featuring 78 exceptional pieces, from dome table clocks and pocket watches to Calatrava and Golden Ellipse wristwatches, the exhibition showcased centuries-old techniques such as cloisonné, grisaille, flinqué, paillonné, hand engraving, guilloché, and gemsetting, alongside innovative approaches like Longwy enamel and wood micro-marquetry.

Nature meets artistry: This limited edition Grand Feu cloisonné enamel watch draws inspiration from Itô Jakuchô’s 18th-century silk painting, featuring a yellow-crested cockatoo perched gracefully on a pine branch.

Ref. 5077/100R-071 Swans - Calatrava wristwatch with dial in wood marquetry enriched with gold leaf.

Ref. 5738/50G-029 Bald Eagle - Golden Ellipse wristwatch with dial in wood marquetry.

Visitors experienced live artisan demonstrations across three thematic salons: Zodiac-inspired Calatrava watches, nature-themed creations including the Golden Ellipse 5738/50J-011 “Yellow-Crested Cockatoo”, and human achievement–inspired works like the dome clock 20191M-001 “Skiing in Days Gone By.”

Lake Geneva Barque - White gold drew inspiration from a painting by the Genevan artist Louis Baudit (1870 - 1960) entitled "Barque du Léman quittant Genève" (Lake Geneva Barque leaving Geneva) owned by the Stern family. Reference 992/187G-001.

Ref. 992/160G-001 Rialto Bridge - Pocket watch in miniature painting on enamel and hand-engraving.

Ref. 984/101J-001 Eagle and Wolf - Pocket Watch with two covers in hand-engraving and miniature painting on enamel.

Glide back in time: This Grand Feu cloisonné enamel piece, inspired by vintage Swiss ski posters, celebrates the golden age of Alpine tourism and classic Swiss graphic design
