The Little Lighthouse Foundation (LLF) is preparing for its 2024 Holiday Toy Distribution at Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), continuing a program that has operated annually since 2009. Originally launched at Chapman Partnership, the initiative has grown into LLF’s longest-running specialty program, now providing toys, games and essential items to children from more than 90 partner facilities.

Over the years, the event has expanded dramatically, supported by hundreds of volunteers and community partners. This year, LLF will use a hybrid model designed to increase its reach.

The first component brings children and families from LLF’s partner facilities directly to the event. Transportation will be provided by LLF, and volunteers will help distribute toys and games onsite. The second component focuses on direct distributions: LLF, in partnership with Global Empowerment Mission, will deliver toys, games and meal boxes to participating facilities before and after the main event, enabling staff to share them with families who cannot attend in person.

The dual approach allows LLF to serve significantly more children across South Florida while maintaining the interactive experience that has defined the Toy Distribution since its early years.
